Associate Landman
North Central West Virginia

A growing energy services company in North Central West Virginia is seeking an Associate Landman to support land, title, and leasing activities across the region. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and interested in building a long-term career in the oil, gas, and energy sector.
The Associate Landman will work closely with senior land professionals to gather and verify land records, assist with title research, support lease negotiations, and ensure documentation is accurate and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct courthouse and online title research to determine mineral and surface ownership
Assist in preparing run sheets, title abstracts, and ownership reports
Review deeds, leases, wills, and other legal documents
Support senior land staff with lease preparation, curative work, and due diligence
Maintain accurate documentation and update land databases
Communicate with property owners, attorneys, and internal team members
Support land-related project tasks as needed across NCWV
Qualifications
Experience in land, title, real estate, legal research, or energy preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Energy Land Management, Business, Legal Studies, or related field a plus
Strong analytical and research skills
High attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing documents
Ability to communicate professionally with landowners and stakeholders
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Reliable transportation for occasional courthouse visits
