About the Committee to Protect Health Care
The Committee to Protect Health Care is a national advocacy organization on the front lines of the fight for universal health care for all Americans. Led by physicians and medical professionals – and powered by a talented team of campaign strategists, communicators, and organizers – we drive real change in health care policy and politics at the state and federal levels.
Through grassroots physician organizing, bold media campaigns, rapid-response strategies, and relationship-building with lawmakers and key stakeholders, the Committee shapes public narratives, influences legislation, and impacts elections across the country.
Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic and passionate Data Manager, who will play a central role in advancing the organization’s physician outreach and engagement strategy. With the support of the team at the Movement Cooperative, this position will create and maintain the overall data infrastructure for the Organizing and Campaigns teams. Ideal candidates will have a combination of technical aptitude, soft skills, and enthusiasm for the mission and values of the Committee to Protect Health Care.
The Committee to Protect Health Care is a member of the Movement Cooperative and has access to their support when it comes to data warehousing, engineering support, organizing strategies, strategic program design and more.

Key Responsibilities
Design and implement a national data program for working closely with the Movement Cooperative as needed.
including analytics, reporting, and targeting.
Administer NGP VAN, MobilizeAmerica, Reach and Scale to Win, developing training, best practices, support and documentation to staff.
Work across departments to collect, analyze and present actionable data insights that inform strategic decisions.
Ensure data quality, maintain pipelines, and troubleshoot issues to guarantee smooth operations across programs.
Create and maintain data standards to ensure data capture and hygiene.
Working with members of the Campaigns and Organizing teams, design and implement A/B tests for texting campaigns to test the efficacy of different messaging to help improve texting effectiveness.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Who You Are (Qualifications)
We’re looking for a bold and highly organized leader with a deep understanding of managing operations for a mid-sized, multi-entity nonprofit organization.
Must-Haves
A technical skill set that includes familiarity or proficiency in a variety of programming languages/software of one or the combination of the following (but not limited to) MS Excel, Google Suite, SQL, Tableau, Python, QGIS and R.
Experience interacting with and analyzing the voter file, census data, and/or another large dataset.
One previous cycle of campaign experience or equivalent political experience in a technical role and familiarity with Votebuilder / VAN preferred.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new skills and platforms used by other team members.
Ability to communicate effectively within teams and across departments.
A desire to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and implement creative solutions to unique problems.
Comfort communicating via remote work tools like Slack and Zoom" if this is going to have a remote work component
Willingness to travel frequently (10–25% depending on cycle needs).
Ability to work nontraditional hours during events (some evenings/weekends)
Commitment to health care access, science, and patient-centered policy.
Position Toplines:
Location: Remote (Preferred: Chicago, Washington D.C.)
Salary: $72,000 – $84,000 annually
Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Director of Member Activation
Start Date: TBD
