Program & Community Engagement Assistant

SteppingStones Recreation Center is seeking a motivated and compassionate Program & Community Engagement Assistant (Full-Time) to help grow and strengthen our inclusive programs for individuals with disabilities.

This position supports the planning, coordination, and expansion of recreational, life-skills, and social programs while building strong relationships with families, volunteers, schools, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Assisting with the coordination and evaluation of programs and events
Engaging families, volunteers, and community partners
Supporting outreach, scheduling, program logistics, and fundraising efforts
Promoting inclusive, welcoming environments for participants of all abilities
Qualifications:

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in human services, recreation, nonprofit management or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Experience working with individuals with disabilities, youth programs, or community organizations preferred
Passion for inclusion, recreation, and community impact
Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and occasional weekends
