Description
We're looking for a strategic and results-driven Sales Manager to significantly expand our market presence and drive business development within the dynamic automation industry. As a key player, you'll leverage your deep technical expertise and strong commercial acumen to identify new opportunities, cultivate client relationships, and deliver innovative automation solutions.
Your tasks
- Drive Strategic Business Development: Proactively identify and engage high-potential new clients within the industrial automation sector, employing a sophisticated approach that includes targeted outreach, strategic networking, and comprehensive market analysis
- Expert Solution Development: Act as a Bachmann electronic product expert, utilizing your technical proficiency in automation solutions (control, visualization, condition monitoring) to analyze complex customer requirements and collaboratively design robust, tailored solutions for challenging applications
- Market Leadership & Intelligence: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, not only to promote our offerings but also to actively gather market intelligence, identify emerging trends, and assess competitor strategies to inform our business development initiatives
- Cultivate Key Relationships: Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, understanding their evolving needs and positioning our solutions as a strategic advantage
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner seamlessly with engineering and other internal teams to ensure the delivery of cutting-edge, integrated automation solutions that exceed client expectations and drive customer satisfaction
- Strategic Pipeline Management: Implement and optimize sales strategies using CRM software and other advanced sales tools to manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to close, ensuring consistent performance tracking and reporting
Requirements
- Proven Automation Experience: Several years of progressive professional experience in the automation industry, with a strong background in the practical application of PLC systems
- Technical Acumen: Deep technical knowledge of automation products and solutions, including PLCs, SCADA systems, and their strategic implementation
- Strategic Commercial Mindset: A customer-focused approach with exceptional commercial ability, demonstrated through a track record of identifying complex client needs, developing strategic proposals, and closing significant deals
- Exceptional Communication & Presentation Skills: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and deliver compelling presentations to diverse audiences
- Proactive & Network-Driven: A highly self-motivated personality with outstanding networking skills, capable of proactively seeking out and establishing high-value connections within the industry
- CRM Proficiency: Proficient in leveraging CRM software and other sales analytics tools to drive strategic account management and optimize sales performance
- Travel Readiness: Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the United States for client meetings, industry events, and business development. Occasional international travel to our corporate offices will also be required
- Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time
