Definition of Work
Provide high quality and evidence based behavioral health services to Horizon Behavioral Health, PLLC (HBH) patients. Services may include individual therapy, couple’s therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and diagnostic assessment. HBH is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Distinguishing features of this position
Work is characterized by the performance of clinical evaluation and psychotherapy including individual, group, couple’s session modality. Ability to manage and complete administrative requirements such as meeting documentation standards in a timely manner and monthly peer review. Work is performed with a wide degree of independence and latitude. Supervision may be exercised over other personnel. This position is available as a full-time, part-time, or contractual (1099) status.
There is an additional opportunity to lead the Morgantown practice location as the site Program Director, if interested and qualified.
Examples of Work performed
Maintain compliance and fidelity to government (Medicaid and Medicare) regulations and other third party payers. Provide direct patient care services including psychotherapy, clinical assessments, and clinical interviews in accordance with experience and training. Monitor patient records to ensure compliance with quality standards. Create and monitor patient treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries. Attend required supervision and staff meetings. Maintain compliance with licensure and continuing education requirements. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Considerable knowledge of evidence-based therapy protocols and current diagnostic processes. Knowledge of related community resources and agencies. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, other personnel, subordinates, the general public, and patients. Excellent clinical skills. Excellent organization skills. Ability to write and document clearly and concisely.

Requirements
Minimum Education:
Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university. Experience preferred in working with first responders, military, individuals involved with the criminal justice and/or substance use disorders. Healthcare administration or office practice management a plus.

License/Certification to practice independently in WV
