- SPICE Therapist
Description
Meaningful one-to-one work, where you set your own schedule.
Peace Care Experts is hiring Recreation, Music, and Art Therapists for SPICE (Specialty Program for Innovative and Creative Engagement), one of our most-requested programs. You would work one-on-one with older adults and adults with disabilities in their own homes or in facilities, building sessions around what each person can do and enjoys. It is flexible, self-directed work that fits well alongside another role, a private practice, or a season of life when you want purpose without a full-time commitment.
Who you are
You are creative, upbeat, and comfortable working on your own. You adapt easily to each client's abilities, you think on your feet, and you like spending time with older adults and people with disabilities. You see what a person can still do, not just what they've lost, and you take real satisfaction in bringing them a little more joy and connection.
What you will do
- Design and lead one-to-one sessions in your discipline (recreation, music, or art) that support cognitive, physical, emotional, and social goals
- Build each program around the client's history, abilities, and interests, and adjust as those change over time
- Write a short update for the family after each visit
- Travel to clients within your assigned area, with drive time kept to about 30 minutes between stops
- Keep brief session notes and stay in touch with the SPICE clinical team
What we offer
- $65/session plus ongoing paid training and meeting time
- Full control of your own schedule
- Paid training before your first client visit
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid time off (sick and vacation time)
- Ongoing professional development and company training
- Steady referrals, so you spend your time with clients rather than chasing work
This role is part-time / per diem and does not include health insurance.
